All the Trimmings

Remember that Classic Elite Yarns promotion? Well, I sent in my receipts and this is what came in the mail:

What a generous goody bag! I suppose everyone's package is a bit different. I got 2 mini-booklets, A Touch of Luxury and Accessories Book 1. There are some very cute patterns!

Along with the booklets came 3 mini-skeins. I got some Inca Alpaca in Twig, Giselle in Cloud, and Princess in Choice Cobalt. Look at how cute those skeins are! (Why is it that things are so much cuter in miniature?). In fact, they are sooo cute that I'm a little reluctant to use them, but I may have an idea.

I like to do different themes with my Christmas trees, and I've thought about a knitted theme. But of course, this generally occurs to me sometime after Thanksgiving, and that's not enough time. Well, I've decided that my knitting goal for this year (drumroll, please) is to knit up some ornaments. These bits of yarn will be a perfect start. I've even joined a KAL on Ravelry to help motivate me. If you have any ornament patterns to suggest, let me know!

  1. What a great idea, esp. since there is a Ravelry kal to keep you on track. Have you seen these? http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/korknisse
I have seen them done in Noro and am so tempted to make a little set.

  3. What a generous booty! It must have been like Christmas all over again.

I think knitting ornaments year round would be fun! I might have to join the KAL too. Are you knitting any of their suggested patterns or doing your own thing?
