Inspired By

The kids are off from school today. It's cold by Southern standards, but the snow that had been forecasted never materialized. I know that would be a relief to many of you, but to them, it was a disappointment. On the upside, we were able to sleep in and have a leisurely breakfast.

I was inspired by Melissa Lester, via Margo Tantau and Ohdeedoh, to make snowman pancakes. They're not as good as real snowmen, but the kids still thought they were pretty fun.

We didn't have any chocolate chips on hand, so the eyes and buttons are little dabs of Nutella. The snow on the bottom is powdered sugar.

I hope you all have a great day and stay warm :-)

  1. You do such fun things with your girls. I'll bet the snowman pancakes made the "snowless" day a little easier to wake up to. My part of the country is getting warm weather and I somehow feel guilty!

  2. That's got to be the most awesome pancake I've ever seen!
