Once Was Lost

It's been about a month since I finished my Just Enough Ruffles scarf, but I'm just now getting around to taking pictures. I was sick for awhile, and I didn't feel like having pictures taken--not even headless ones! After that, I was busy with taking care of sick kids and catching up from having been sick.

Then, when things settled down and I had an opportunity to take pictures, I suddenly realized that I had no idea where the scarf was! I searched the guest bedroom (where I do my blocking), my crafts closet (where I keep my yarn), my knitting basket, my closet, my office, my car, my husband's car...nothing! It's never a good feeling to lose something, but it's even worse when it's something that you spent some time making and hadn't even really had a chance to wear yet!

Then a couple of days ago, I was able to return to my weekly knitting group after having to miss for one reason or another over the past month. I grabbed the knitting bag I usually bring to the meetings, and lo and behold! There was my scarf. I guess I must have taken it to show everyone and forgotten it was in there. Whew! It was good to be back in so many ways :-)

  1. I love it -- and I'm glad you found it even if it makes me want to cast on for another one of my own.

The color you chose is so rich.

  2. Very pretty! And what a relief to find it safe and sound in your knitting bag :)

  3. Very beautiful scarf! It has been on my "to-do-knit" for a long time and never get to it...how do you like it? Is this one of your favourite or do you have another to recommend?
