Inspired By

Inspired by Real Mom Kitchen to make lemon ricotta pancakes and blackberry sauce:

I had some leftover ricotta, and this was a great way to use it up!

I've mentioned before that I'm a huge fan of Evernote. I clip recipes and ideas all the time, and it was a simple matter of searching for "ricotta" to see if I had any ideas for it on file. I have a Evernote notebook called "This Week's Recipes," and when I decide I'm going to make something soon, I'll move the clipping into that notebook to make it easier to find.

Since most of the new recipes I try out are on Evernote, I usually have the iPad out so I can read the recipe. This used to make me a bit nervous, especially when I've got little helpers in the kitchen. Then, I read a post on The Kitchn about a protective sleeve for the iPad, which seemed like a good idea. An even better idea was a commenter's suggestion to just use a gallon zipper bag.

Lo and behold! It works perfectly.

  2. The pancakes look awesome!

I think I need an iPhone-size protective sleeve (i.e. perhaps a quart size zipper bag?) -- I've had a few close calls!
