Think of the Children!

I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them knit away
-Whitney Houston, if she were a knitter

On a whim, I volunteered to demonstrate knitting to my daughter's preschool class later this week. I'm thinking of doing a few rows using Big Wool and big needles so they can see. And then maybe bring in some yarn so they can try finger knitting if there's time. If you have any ideas for me, let me know!

  1. That sounds lovely. I have done finger knitting with 5-8 yr olds and they pick it up really fast. Embroidery too. I have also done spinning with preschoolers and they loved it, and I knit the yarn they spun into a cowl for the teacher.

  2. You are so awesome! I can imagine that you will be a wonderful teacher and will only inspire those l'il rugrats to start knitting and stashing and crafting on their own!
