To Be...or Not
This is my tank that almost wasn't. I was working on this project when I stopped knitting. Even though I put away my other things, I held on to this one, in hopes that I'd get back to it. I'd look at it now and again and feel guilty that it wasn't done. But not guilty enough to actually do anything about it. Finally, after I finished the scarf, I felt that I had enough ambition to come back to the tank. I have to confess that I'd left it out for so long (about a year and a half!) that it accumulated dust. I mean it! I actually vacuumed it. I know...that's so gross.
But that's all in the past. I'm finished with it now (and yes, I washed it!) and am really pleased. This is one that I kinda made up as I went along. It's a good thing I had sketched out the cabling and still had that scrap of paper around. I had knit from the top down and still had a couple of rows of cabling left to do before going down to the bottom ruffle there. I can give you more details if you want.
I'm naming this one "Juliet." I'm sure Elizabeth will be able to tell me that Juliet (as in Romeo and...) would not actually have worn anything that looked remotely like this. But that's okay. I still think it looks romantic, and that's good enough for me at this point.
Happy New Year! Hope your knitting year gets off to a good start, too!
