On the other hand, I wish I had done maybe 3 or 4 fewer garter ridges. It's making the girls, as small as they are, look saggy. I also wish I'd made the sleeves tighter. And finally, I loved the quirkiness of the asymmetric buttons on the original design, but it is not working for me here. I'm thinking of having just one button at the top, or maybe two that are spaced closer together. I'm hoping that would also de-emphasize the transition between the garter and lace sections and maybe make me look less saggy. I've also contemplated throwing it into the dryer and seeing if it will shrink a bit (it's machine washable). but maybe that will be a last resort.
I'm open to any suggestions if anyone has any!
I think two buttons would work then it would flare out a bit more and hopefully fix the boobie promblem.
ReplyDeleteI don't know - I think it's lovely as is!
ReplyDeleteYou could consider ripping out the cast-on edge and doing a couple more lace repeats just to balance out the sweater. That might reduce the sagginess issues. I do think it looks cute on you too. And I agree that two buttons might even work.
ReplyDeleteWell, I think it looks quite nice on you in the photo, so I'm no help!
ReplyDeletethis is something special.
