Inspired By

Inspired by Shelly Kaldunski's book Ice Pops to make Meyer Lemon Cream popsicles:

These were so simple: lemons, sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, and a pinch of salt. They are soooo good! I was so tempted to get one of those Zoku gadgets, but in a rare moment of self-restraint, I decided to just get a simple popsicle mold instead, and it works just great. We had tried some strawberry shortcake popsicles when we first got the molds. They were okay, but I'm thinking of remaking those using a sweetened condensed milk + heavy cream base like this one.

  2. Haha! I've been fighting the urge to buy a Zoku for a long time now. There's just no room for it in the house!

  3. Self-constraint is overrated! I want a Zoku now (though I am such a gadget fan that I too have to make a conscious effort to avoid single-purpose appliances)

Meanwhile . . . the ice pops look delicious!

  4. The *only* thing that kept me from getting a Zoku is that a small percentage of reviews talked about having a hard time getting the popsicles out :-( With my luck, I'd end up being one of the few.

  5. Do you have the recipe for the lemon pops? My neighbor borrowed my Zoku book and I have an urge for them NOW!!
